You should already have the vocab (229), definition indirect and direct characterization (229), and the two questions in “Connecting the Story”. Answer questions 1-9 on 239.Turn this in today!

Short Stories

Reading “A Haunted House” by Virginia Woolf (383) — really short.Vocabulary — write the definition for the word as it is used in the story.  Write a sentence for each. Make sure to do this work on a separate piece of paper. (Joey!)Ignore the Writing prompt at the bottom….

Reviewing “art” work. You are getting (or losing) points for reading (or not reading) quietly.

AP Literature

Since we are banned from talking about the AP test, we will use today as  a work day.Several of you could post your booktalks to Goodreads. I received very few Novel cheat sheets yesterday. You only lose a few points if you turn it in today, but I am deducting 50% after today.  You could also work on finding your college costs information!

  1. Turn in “Cheat Sheet” — I will check them quickly in class today.

  4. If you have not turned in your poem essay by today, you will get at best a 50% — I need you to email ASAP.

  3. Copy vocabulary on page 229 — word, pos, and def.
  4. Copy definition of characterization and direct/indirect characterization on page 229.
  5. Answer the two questions in “Connecting to the Story” on page 229.
  6. Tomorrow we will read the story and complete more work — so if you do not get the work above finished in class, consider it homework.
